Selected as the 1906 Wayne County distinguished junior Holstein girl was Carrie Bryant, Honesdale. Carrie is a three-year 4-H member in the Calkins 4-H Ag. Club and she owns three registered Holsteins. She has completed 4-H projects in vegetable gardening, growing melons and potatoes. She has competed in 4-H Demonstration Night, has successfully exhibited her 4-H dairy projects at the Wayne District Black and White Show, Wayne County Junior Dairy Show and Northeast District 4-H Dairy Show. Receiving the award as the 1906 Wayne County distinguished junior Holstein boy was Adam Kennedy, Honesdale. Adam is a four-year 4- H member in the Laurella 4-H Club and he owns five head of registered Holsteins. Adam is a member of the Wayne County 4-H Dairy Judging Team. He has exhibited his dairy project animals at the Wayne County Junior Dairy Show and Wayne District Black and White Show. Amy Spangenberg, Starrucca, received the 1966 Wayne County distinguished senior Holstein girl award. David Banicky, Thompson, was selected as the 1986 Wayne County distinguished senior Holstein boy. He is a three-year 4-H member in the Pleasant Mount Go-Getters 4-H Club and a member of the Western Delaware County, New York, FFA Chapter. He owns 18 head of registered Holsteins. David has exhibited his 4-H dairy project animals at the' Wayne County Junior Dairy Show, Wayne District Black and White Show and Nor theast District 4-H Dairy Show. Each of these award winners received a trophy and a $5O United States Savings Bond. Five trophy awards were presented in the annual junior Holstein Association Milk and Butterfat Contest. Award winners were: David Banicky for his 2- year-old cow, Josan Bell Tillie. Tillie received the award for her milk record of 20,497 pounds of milk. Carly Soden, received the 2-year old cow fat award for her cow, King-Hill Beautys Maj Minnie. Minnie produced 703 pounds of fat during her 2-year-old lactation. Adam’s cow, Elmcroft Commodore Tulip received both milk and fat awards for her 3-year old record of 22,694 pounds of milk and 888 pounds of fat.
