There were 311 registered bidders at the sale. A profit of approximately $24,000 is expected to be realized from the sale. Twenty six quilts were sold for a total of $6,000. XXX A Dairy Herd Dispersal was held October 4 by Richard Scott, between Greencastle and Waynesboro, Pa., off Rt. 16 at the village of Zuelinger on Scott Road, in Franklin County. The herd of registered and grade cows averaged $724 on 71 head. The top cow brought $1,310, the 2nd high was $950 and the 3rd high was $940. Guy, south of Honey Brook on Guy Road, Lane. Co., Pa. The 50 acre farm with 38 acres tillable and 12 acres of woodland and pasture was sold for $310,000. It included a 2% story stone house with attached block storage shed, stone and frame bank barn w/tobacco shed and stripping room, garage, chicken house and stone spring house. The 2 acres of woodland was sold for $3,500.
