DIS-Lmcaster Farming Saturday, August 30,1986 Northumberland SCS Meeting The Northumberland County Conservation District, Cooperative Extension Service, and Soil Conservation Service will sponsor a twilight meeting on Thursday, September 4, from 6:30 to 9:30 P.M. The meeting will begin with a tour of Carl Swartz’s no-till corn demonstration plot from 6:30 to 7:00 P.M. The plot is located one half mile east of McEwensville on Route 44. Starting at 7 P.M., the rest of the meeting will be held indoors at a shed next to the no-till plot. Presentations will be made by chemical company and agency representatives on a variety of topics. Mike Fleming, Sandoz Crop Protection Corp., will speak on controlling problem weeds. Vemon Brose, County Agent, will speak on farm safety. Norman Conrad, County Agent, will discuss com production in puts.
