Shine an nounced a July 1986 base milk price of 112.46 per hundredweight and an excess milk price of $ll.Ol. The weighted average July price was $12.45 and the butterfat dif ferential for the month was 16.5 cents. The base milk price was up 16 cents from June but was 13 cents lower than last July. The weighted average price was up 19 cents from June but was 6 cents lower than a year earlier. The gross value of Revised Slaughter Periods Announced WASHINGTON, D.C. - About 57,000 fewer dairy cattle than in dicated earlier will be slaughtered in August as a result of contract modifications under the Dairy Termination Program, the U.S. Department of Agriculture an nounced recently. A total of 1,116 DTP participants with contracts to dispose of their dairy cattle in the first contract disposal period, April 1 to August 31, have modified their contracts opting for a later disposal period. Shine said that producer receipts totaled 523.4 million pounds during July, an increase of 2.5 million pounds from last July, and the average daily delivery of 2,597 pounds per producer increased 69 pounds or 2.7 percent from a year earlier. Class I producer milk totaled 238.4 million pounds and was up 13.3 million pounds or 5.9 percent from last July. Class I milk ac counted for 45.54 percent of total heifers and 25,849 calves. While some of these animals have already been slaughtered or ex ported, producers intend to slaughter about 172,000 animals in August rather than the 229,000 indicated earlier. Through July, Commodity Credit Corporation purchases of additional red meat totaled about 220 million pounds 40 million pounds more than the quantity which is proportionate to the in tended cattle slaughter through July. In Pennsylvania, 44 producers MEMBER producer milk receipts during the month, compared with 43.21 percent in July 1985. Base milk accounted for 92.43 percent of total producer milk receipts in July compared with 88.60 percent last year. The average butterfat test of producer milk was 3.51 percent, up from 3.49 percent last July.
