Donald McMutt of Conrad Weiser Area High School was honored for his entry in the Ideas Unlimited Contest, which gives members the opportunity to ex change teaching ideas. McNutt’s entry was the Region VI winner and placed second at the national contest. Honorary life memberships were awarded to Ralph Bar tholomew, Royersford; Kenneth Cherry, DuncansviUe; Charles Lebo, Halifax; Richard Lyons, Claysville; Ralph Orndorff, Everett; Paul Ruth, Martinsburg; Russell Weller, Dalmatia; John Myers, Red Lion; and Harry Kline, Harrisonville. PVATA president Jim Kerr presented certificates of ap preciation to Joseph Trynosky and Dr. Richard Burley for their support of him during his term. Teacher of teacher awards were also presented during the Institute, recognizing vo-ag teachers whose students have become vo-ag teachers. Those winners were Ralph Kline, a gold award for five or more teachers; Merril Brofee and Joseph Very, silver awards for three or four teachers; and Ernest Orr Jr., Donald Reinert, and Timothy Weller, bronze awards for one or two teachers. The Institute also featured in depth sessions to help teachers Junior Contest Slated The Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Association will again be sponsoring a Junior All- Pennsylvania Contest for all members of the Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Association. The contest this year will again be a picture contest. Entries submitted must include a current year pic ture of the animal entered. Juniors interested in entering the Junior All-Pennsylvania Contest should get a picture of their animals sometime during the show season.
