Tarentaise Sire
Summary
Available
NORTH PLATTE, Nebr. - The
American Tarentaise Association
now has available the 1986 Sire
Summary. The Sire Summary is a
useful tool for commercial cattle
raisers who want to breed for
economically desirable traits.
According to Bette Sexson,
executive secretary, “The
moderate sized Tarentaise cow
consistently raises a calf that is 60
percent of her weight.
Crossbreeding with Tarentaise can
improve the maternal traits in a
herd. Early maturing, large pelvic
area, and excellent milk
production are some of the
qualities Tarefttaise have to offer
the cattle industry.”
For a copy of the 1986 Sire
Summary or further information
about the breed, contact the

smoother, easier pulling; an easy
to-read tank level indicator; two
moisture traps and a check valve
to protect the vacuum pump; a
hydraulic rear filling and
discharge port with an adjustable
plate that allows variations in
spread pattern and application
rates; and 34-inch skids for easy
mounting to truck frames.
Butler Vacuum Tank-Rs are
available with three or four-shank
injectors as an option. Rear
mounted to prevent wheel com
paction, as well as manure from
being squeezed out of the furrows,
they also keep manure away from
the operator. The unique injection
system features a hydraulically
controlled heavy tool bar that
attaches to the tank skids to keep
the injectors firmly in place. And,
for injecting in sod or cutting
through cornstalks, optional
coulters can be attached to the
injector units.
