Trees and other landscape plants enhance property values and in crease city assets. There is a growing interest among arborists, shade tree commissioners and landscape managers regarding the methods of plant evaluation. An all day program designed to inform tree care professionals how to determine the value of trees will be held on May 28, 1986 at Cook College, Rutgers University. The seminar will include morning classroom lectures and an outdoor afternoon field session to provide a hands-on opportunity for par ticipants to evaluate a variety of trees. The program is being sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter, International Society or Arboriculture, in cooperation with the Cooperative Extension Service of Rutgers. The seminar is open to anyone engaged in the field of ar boriculture. Registration for New Jersey ISA Chapter members is $3O. All others will be charged $4O. The fee includes a buffet luncheon, morning coffee and refreshment breaks, and a copy of the Guide for Establishing Values of Trees and Other Plants, an ISA publication. Proceeds from the seminar will be given to the ISA Research Trust Fund to help finance research projects in arboriculture. Brochures and registration forms are available from David C.
