Larry Swartz, Mechanicburg, was the college’s recipient of the Dairy Shrine Club Dairy Student Recognition Award. This recognition makes him eligible for the national contest. Swartz also becomes a lifetime member of the Dairy Shrine Club. Two scholarships based on need, academics and involvement in the dairy industry were presented. Dr. Pelle, a native of Hungary, served as the Animal Science Division chairman of the college for many years prior to his retirement in 1982. The Dairy Collegiate judging team was also recognized for their accomplishments this past year.
