bidders at the sale.
The gross sales were
$360,000 and there were
40 auctioneers present
to offer their services.
There were ap
proximately 8000 people
on the grounds and the
ladies received $12,000
for food consumed.
The top quilt sold for
$lOOO and contained
state birds and flowers.
A hand carved
Canadian goose sold for
$240 and antique guns
brought up to $6OO.
