A 30-Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, February 15,1986 NFU to focus on better profit at national convention SPOKANE - Immediate help for financially stressed producers and long-term increases in agriculture’s profitability through the marketplace are at the top of the list of concerns to be addressed by delegates to the 84th annual National Fanners Union con vention March 2 through 5 at the Sheraton Spokane Hotel. John Melcher, D- Mont., received national recognition for his role in preventing farm prices from dropping to even more disastrous levels.
