Brian Keith Klinedinst Brian Keith Klinedinst, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Klinedinst, Stewartstown. A member of the Kennard-Dale FFA Chapter for three years, Brian has had projects in swine finishing, sheep breeding, market lambs, rabbit fattening, and home garden. He holds the Greenhand, Chapter Farmer and White Rose degrees. In 1985, Brian was named York County outstanding FFA boy. His other activities have included diversified livestock, soil and water management, and fruit and vegetable management. At the York Fair he participated in livestock judging and market lambs. In 1984 Brian was a member of the county’s first place parliamentary procedures team, which also placed first in the area and sixth in the region. Brian plans to major in agriculture in college. Thomas L. Parks Thomas L. Parks, 17, is the son of Roy E. and Elayne Parks, Stewartstown. He has been a member of the Kennard-Dale FFA Chapter for almost three years. Thomas’ projects have included dairy cow, dairy calf and com production. Thomas has served his chapter as sentinel and was York County FFA president in 1984. In addition, Thomas has earned a Chapter Scholarship Award, Chapter Dairy Proficiency Award, and a Production Credit Award for Excellence in Record Keeping. This year he received the White Rose Star Farmer Award. His SOE projects include a herd of 10 registered Hampshire sheep, sheep finishing, and working for Jerry L. Rutter’s Livestock Farm. Daryl’s achievements in the FFA include a proficiency award in sheep production and Out standing Greenhand. He served the chapter as sentinel and treasurer. He was a member of the lighting crew for the school musical and is a member of the York County 4-H Lamb and Wellsville Clubs. Daryl plans to continue working for Rutter’s Livestock. Gerald W. Stermer Jr. Gerald W. Stermer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stermer of East Berlin. He is an 18-year-old senior at Dover Area High School. His SOE projects include finishing 20 market swine for the York Fair and Farm Show, beef finishing, seven acres of com and working on his parents’ farm and in their custom butcher shop. Gerald’s achievements in FFA include Outstanding Greenhand, proficiency in agricultural processing and swine finishing and serving as York County Sentinel for 1984-85. Gerald plans to pursue a job in agricultural processing. Northumberland Rich Crone, 17, is the son of Stanley and Mary Crone, Danville. He plans to work on his father’s farm and would like to incorporate with his brother and father. Lori Ortiz Lori Ortiz, 17, is the daughter of James and Sandy Winn, Milton. A student at Danville Area High School, Lori has been a member of the Danville FFA Chapter for three years. Lori’s SOEP projects have in cluded dairy heifers, beef heifers and steers. She was chairman of the BOAC/Food for America and Scholarship Committees. She was also a member of the Banquet/Fundraising Committee, the parliamentary procedure team, and the State FFA Band. Lori has served her chapter as reporter and secretary. She holds the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer degrees. She has earned foundation awards in diversified livestock and sheep production.
