Somerset County Gerald Murray Gerald Murray, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murray of Salisbury, is president of the Meyersdale FFA Chapter. He has also served as treasurer. Gerald owns a herd of six registered Guernsey cattle and has earned state recognition in judging dairy cattle. He is active in public speaking, parliamentary procedure and demonstration contests. Gerald was president of his local 4-H club for three years. _____ Mter graduation Gerald plans to continue farming. Robert Schrock Jr. Robert Schrock Jr. is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schrock of Garrett. He is president of his local chapter, a member of the National Honor Society and active in leadership activities. Robert has an extensive farming program which includes a dairy herd, corn, oats and hay. He is county sentinel and past chapter secretary. He recently won a trip to the National FFA Convention for placing second in the State Agronomy Contest. Robert plans to attend Penn State to major, in ag business management. Randy Scott Randy Scott, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bland of Meyersdale, is secretary of the Meyersdale FFA Chapter. His supervised occupational experience program includes dairy cows and working on his neighbors’ farms. Randy is also active in 4-H and is treasurer and past vice president. After high school, Randy plans to work on computers. Craig Waltermire Craig Waltermire is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ben Waltermire of Rockwood. A senior at Rockwood High School, he is enrolled in vocational agriculture. Craig’s projects include corn grain, corn silage, oats, barley, hay and on-farm work. Craig has served his chapter as parliamentarian and reporter. Keystone Farmers are in the spotlight As a member of the Rockwood FFA, Craig has participated in various contests, including, palriamentary procedure team, dairy judging team, FFA basketball, FFA volleyball, and FFA softball. Craig is also a member of the New Centerville and Rural Jr. Volunteer Fire Departments, 4-H, varsity baseball and senior high band. Craig plans to attend college to major in dairy science. Brian Weimer Brian Weimer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Weimer of Rockwood. A senior at Rockwood High School, Brian is enrolled in the academic course. Brian’s FFA projects have in cluded hay, oats, corn and dairy herd management. Brian has served his chapter as president and secretary; he is currently county president. As a member of the Rockwood FFA Chapter, Brian has par ticipated in various activities, including, dairy judging, parliamentary procedure, public speaking and demonstration team. Brian’s future plans are to at tend college and major in agriculture. Tioga County Rebecca Lichty Rebecca Lichty, 18, is the daughter of C. David and Marsha Lichty, Mansfield. A student at Mansfield High School, Rebecca has been a member of the Man sfield FFA Chapter for four years. Rebecca owns two Ayrshire cows and four Ayrshire heifers, and two Holstein cows and two Holstein calves. She was float ■fheirman and participated in parliamentary procedure. Rebecca has also participated in dairy, livestock, forestry and land judging contests. She has served her chapter as secretary for three years and was named Star Chapter Farmer. She holds the Greenland, Chapter and County Farmer degrees. Rebecca has earned proficiency awards in dairy and horse. She enjoys showing cows, riding horses and painting. Carolyn Norman, 18, is the daughter of Ernest and Dorothy Norman, Liberty. A student at Liberty High School, she has been a member of the Liberty FFA Chapter for four years. Carolyn’s projects have been two cows and three heifers. She has also served on the Banquet and Fruit Sales Committees. Carolyn is currently chapter and county president and is past chapter reporter. She was named Star Greenhand and Star Chapter Farmer. She also holds the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer degrees. Carolyn has earned a proficiency award in dairy production. She plans to attend Penn State to major in dairy production. John P. Painter, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Painter, Westfield.
