President Aaron Humes, son of
Mary Ellen Humes, AUeqtown, has
been an FFA member for two
years.
His FFA honors include Chaffer
Farmer, PEEC leadership con
ference and livestock judging.
Chapter activities include in
volvement in virtually all the
group’s programs, including the
banquet, chicken barbecue and
citrus sale committees.
A student at Parkland-Lehigh
Valley Vo-tech, Aaron is involved
in Young Marines, Student Council
and the youth group.
He hopes to operate his own
butcher shop in the future.
Bonnie Wehr
Bonnie Wehr, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Wehr, Orefield, is
treasurer of the Lehigh County
FFA.

A senior at Smethport Area High
School, James R. Ladlee is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. E. James Ladlee,
Smethport.
A member of the Bucktail FFA
Chapter for four years, he has been
sentinel, vice president and
recipient of the Greenhand and
Chapter Farmer degrees and the
Chapter Star Farmer award.
His projects have included beef
and swine finishing, dairy heifer,
dairy calf, draft horse, garden and
conservation activities.
At school, he is involved in the
marching and concert bands, the

He plans to attend Penn State to
major in Agricultural Education
and Science.
Northumberland
County
Brent Harner
A senior at Line Mountain High
School, Brent Hamer of Leckkill
has been president of the Line
Mountain FFA for three years.
The son of Gary Hamer and
Sandy Angst, Brent has received
the Greenhand and Chapter
Farmer degrees, and was the Star
Farmer for Northumberland
County.
He placed among the top 20 in the
livestock judging competitions at
Penn State during the last two
years.
He has been a member of Line
Mountain’s varsity wrestling team
for four years, and also par
ticipates in FBLA, Varsity Club
and Boy Scouts.
After graduating from high
school, he will become involved in
his grandfather’s hog operation.

chaplain and historian, and has

Star Chapter Farmer degrees. He
has been honored for his work in

Production, Agricultural Elec
trification and record keeping.

School, he is involved in
parliamentary procedure, dairy
judging, agronomy, small engine,
dairy products, tractor driving and
soil judging teams.
He plans to work on the family
farm after graduation.
