The son of Gary Hamer and Sandy Angst, Brent has received the Greenhand and Chapter Farmer degrees, and was the Star Farmer for Northumberland County. He placed among the top 20 in the livestock judging competitions at Penn State during the last two years. He has been a member of Line Mountain’s varsity wrestling team for four years, and also par ticipates in FBLA, Varsity Club and Boy Scouts. After graduating from high school, he will become involved in his grandfather’s hog operation.
