Musser, daughter of Frank and Crissie Musser, Bellefonte, has been secretary, president and vice president of the Bellefonte FFA chapter. A member of the chapter for four years, she has earned the Greenhand degree, the chapter farmer degree and has been the recipient of Keystone Farmer awards. She has been recognized in the area of beef production, sheep production, parliamentary procedure and leadership. Committees on which Lillian has served include budget, degree and initiation, recreation and public service, hayride, sausage sale, fruit sale, window exhibit, animal ring-judging team, trip, seed sale, float contest, petting zoo and parent-member banquet. She has been involved with beef and sheep projects, was a member of the demonstration team and attended the co-op conference. A Bellefonte Area High School student, her other activities in clude intramural sports, gym nastics, 4-H Sheep Club, 4-H Rec Team, student trainer and Logan Grange 109. She is interested in canoeing, camping, hiking, horesback riding, square dancing and sports. Future plans include attending business school to study marketing and management. David K. Seamans David K. Seaman, son of David and Suzanne Seamans, State College, is a student at State College Area High School. He is a fifth-year member of the State College “Little Lions” FFA chapter, which he has served as president and chaplain, and has participated in the state band. He has been recognized for parliamentary procedure, public speaking, livestock judging, national talent, dairy products and ornamental horticulture. He has been manager of a women’s league softball team and has participated on the 4-H Rec Team and on the Seven Mountains bowling team. Following graduation, he plans to attend the Pennsylvania State University College of Agriculture. Mike Wance, son of Terry and Patricia Wance, Rebersburg, is a three-year member of the Penns Valley FFA chapter. FFA projects include dairy cows and dairy calves. He has served on the donkey basketball and citrus sales com mittees. Mike’s FFA achievements in clude soil judging contest, project book contest, chapter farmer degree, Greenhand degree and scholarship award. A student at Penns Valley High School, he plans to go into the dairy business following graduation. Mike takes a great interest in snowmobiling in the winter and enjoys archery. Chester County Bill Blank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elam Blank, is a student at Oc torara High School and a four-year member of the Octorara FFA chapter. He has served as county president and chapter vice president. BUI has earned the Greenhand degree, the chapter farmer degree and was awarded the chapter’s Outstanding Dairy Award. He has served on the calendar committee and the banquet committee. He is a member of the National Honor Society, serving as president of his school’s chapter in 1984-85. Bill also serves as vice president of his church youth group. An avid golfer and skier, he plans to work with his father on the family dairy farm following graduation. Kenneth James Soltys Kenneth James Soltys, 17, is the son of Chester H. and Sandra E. Soltys Jr., Spring City. He has been a member of the Owen J. Roberts FFA Chapter for four years. Kenneth has carried projects in dairy heifers, swine, field com, poultry, sweet com, alfalfa, wheat and soybeans. He was chairman for the Food for America, Banquet, Public Relations and Raffle Committees. He has served his chapter as reporter, vice president and president. In addition, Kenneth received an area and a county Production Credit Award. He was a Star Chapter Greenhand. Kenneth plans to major in agriculture business and management at Penn State. He would like to either return to the farm or get a job in agriculture. Samuel Thaczuk Samuel Thaczuk, 17, is the son of George and Betty Thaczuk, Elverson. A student at Owen J. Roberts High School, Samuel has been a member of the Owen J. Roberts FFA for four years. His projects have included working on the family dairy farm, field corn and dairy calves. He has been a member of the Food for America, Christmas Project and BOAC Committees. Samuel has served his chapter as president and treasurer. He was a chapter delegate to the National Convention. In addition, Samuel placed first in the Field Corn Contest in 1982 and 1984 and third in 1983. He won two silver medals and a bronze for dairy judging at Penn State. He has been involved in the FFA 1984-85 state association summer convention and the 1982-83 mid winter convention cooperative activities. In addition, he is a member of the sweet com, recreation and refreshment, and scholarship committees. He has also been involved in rabbit production, beef finishing, home improvement, garden, bamstead improvement and hay production activities. Daniel served as 1984-85 chapter reporter, 1984-85 recreation and refreshment committee chairman, 1984-85 star chapter farmer and, 1982*83 star greenhand. He is serving as 1985*86 vice-president and recreation and refreshment chairman. He received the 1984-85 county production credit award, and the leadership training session scholarship award for 1982, 1983 and 1984.
