DOYLESTOWN - The Delaware Valley College Brown swiss herd has been named the 1984 Ira Inman PTPR winner for Group I. The Ira Inman Production and Type Performance Registry (PTPR) herd trophies are presented to the top herds in each of three herd size divisions. Group I is for herds containing 10-39 cows. The formula for calculating the winners of these awards is based on six criteria: 1) actual herd lactation butterfat average; 2) actual herd lactation milk average; 3) herd classification average for final score; 4) percent of cows in the herd bred by owner; 5) percent of cows in the herd having 305-day lactation records processed during the year; and 6) JD 650 4 WDB w/Loader Farmall Cub w/Mower Four Other Attachments Available LAWN & GARDEN TRACTORS JD 112 Tractor w/Mower JD 316 Tractor JO 420 Tractor SKIP LOADERS JD 210 10 HP Tractor NH L 775-9800 JD 110 Tractor JD 24-4500 JD 112 Tractor WALK-BEHIND IH 1450 Hydro Tractor Case 442,14 HP JD 212,12 HP IH 127,12 HP We Are Proud To Announce Our New Dealership In WELDERS and SUPPLIES i i A ** l* ! In 1963, the College established student herdsmen positions to provide more in-depth dairy and herd management training experience. Upperclass students are responsible for daily chores, Monday through Friday, and selected weekends.
