Woodland said the producers’ position was “totally eroded” this week with the lowa and Nebraska interior markets dropping to $3B-39 per hundredweight. “This level of market is creating a $lO-15 per head loss for the pork producer. He just cannot live with the approximate 7 percent imports of the federally inspected domestic slaughter,” Woodland said.
