Delmarva Poultry Thursday, September 19 Report supplied by USDA Market Comment: Demand for ready to cook whole was quite disappointing and clearances at current asking prices were dif ficult in several quarters. Inquiry for parts was little better, and discounting was prevalent at most parts. Breast meat continued to clear best, but even here demand was slowing. Live supplies were at least fully adequate. Weights remained mixedd in a full range but more desirable. Slaughter schedules were again moderately Copyright 1984 by Lancaster Farming P.O. Box 366 - Lititz, PA 17543 Office; 22 E. Trade sentiment although nervous in some quarters continued relatively steady. Distributive movement was noted as on the low side at some plants, better than expected at others, but about moderate in total. Graded supplies were in uneven balance, and volumes were usually held close to requirements. Most traders noted little difficulty in managing spot surplus of ad ditional needs. In ungraded channels packers noted mixed interest in additional stocks centered mainly on heavier weight class ones.
