A sluggish beef trade was prominent in the decline. Steers over 1300 lbs. and heifers over 1150 lbs. continue to show up, but the offerings of these kinds not as prevalent as in recent weeks, however, discounts still prevail. Buyers were cautious and rather selective with best demand for both steers and heifers promising large percentage choice carcasses. Slaughter cows steady. Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 higher. Estimated 5 day receipts this week 7700 compared to actuals last week to 6720 and 7412 last year.
