Forty-one animals sold for an average of $ll6l at the first-ever Bedford sale. Total receipts came to $46,570 Green-Lou Farms of Virginia bought the top-selling cow, Mar beth Angie Frances Valiant, for $3200 from consignor Owen E. Martin, of Hagerstown, Md. The April, 1983 heifer is bred to Leadfield Columbus-ET Dam of the quality pedigreed Dairy Princess Shawnee Ann Yothers and buyer Clark Weyand stand with the second high selling cow.
