Six graduate students in agricultural colleges have been named recipients of Ralston Purina Company Research Fellowships, announced W.M. Jones, President of Purina Mills, Inc., a subsidiary of Ralston Purina. Each Fellowship, worth $6,400, will be applied to the 1985-86 academic year. “The purpose of our Fellowship program, which began m 1949, is to help tram outstanding graduate students for leadership positions in the critically important areas of livestock and poultry science,” Jones says. “The awards reflect the value we place on agriculture youth, who will be tomorrow’s agriculture leaders ” Recipients in the field of Dairy Science are; Kimberly A. Cassida of Penn State University, James K. Drackley of lowa State University and Roberto D. Sainz of the University of California at Davis. In the field of Animal Science. Donald W Giesting of the University of Illinois and Joseph D Jerry of Penn State University and in the field of Poultry Science.
