Armstrong dairy princess candidates prepare for pageant LENAPE The 1985 Armstrong County dairy princess will be crowned June 8 at 8 p.m. at Lenape Vo-Tech. Competing for the crown will be: Jerri Lynn Bowser, the daughter of James and Margie Bowser, New Bethlehem. Her family milks 40 cows. She is currently a senior at Clarion County Vo-Tech studying cosmotology. The Star awards went to students from the Twin Valley and Oley Chapters. County Star Agribusinessman plaque went to Chris Coblentz, Twin Valley. The County Star Farmer plaque was earned by Kirk Fisher, Oley. These awards were presented by Harvey Smith, area vocational consultant. The Washington Conference Scholarship award was presented to Henry Seidel of the Hamburg Chapter. This scholarship recognizes leadership and par ticipation. Henry was elected as president of his chapter and of the county. Honorary Membership went to people who have rendered out standing service and have helped vocational agriculture and the FFA. The recipients of this honor were: Nancy Sterner, vice prin cipal at Kutztown Area High School; Charles Dombay, prin cipal at Twin Valley High School; David Henry, district forester for the PA Game Commission; Robert Sattazahn, dairy farmer, Womelsdorf; and Ronald Beaton, vice president of Band of Penn sylvania. Certificates of Appreciation were presented to people who gave their support and services to the Berks County FFA.
