BY BETSY STITT Staff Correspondent HUNTINGDON - The Hun tingdon County Holstein Club members showed they have big hearts at their annual county heifer sale last Saturday. They donated proceeds from the top selling consignment to the family of 4-H’er Tina Schultz. Tina, who has shown Holstein cattle and been an active 4-H member, recently suffered the loss of a leg due to cancer. As Bransdale Valiant Karhe, consigned by Terry Branstetter Jr., entered the ring, sale chair man John Foster announced that the proceeds would go to the Schultz family. Foster purchased Karhe, a July 1984, S-W-D Valiant daughter, for $3,600. Terry Green was the con tending bidder. Karhe’s dam is Bransdale Tempo Kris - ET. Scored 87 as a Russell Kline purchased the second high selling animal at the Huntingdon County sale. Russell Kline bought the second high-selling animal. Gillbrook RH Sally - ET, a junior two-year-old sired by Brownsdale Sir Christopher, brought $2200. Sally’s dam, Flango Chief Superior, was scored 90 as a three year-old and is projected to make 20,000 pounds of milk and 880 of fat as a five-year-old. Sally was consigned by John and Karen Gilliland and is bred to Leadfield Columbus. Globe-Run Arhnda Chief Helena, consigned by John and Annabelle Foster, was sold to Fred Strouse for $lB5O, making her the third high selling animal. This junior two year-old was sired by Paymee Farms Arhnda Chief and is also bred to the Columbus bull.
