814-Uncaster Farming, Saturday, March 16,1985 Bucks Co. teens attend 4-H leadership day DOYLESTOWN - Officers from 'several Bucks County 4-H Clubs attended the Southeast Regional 4- H Teen Council Leadership Day held recently at the Montgomery County 4-H Center in Creamery, Pa. The Leadership Day was designed to provide in-depth training in parliamentary procedure and officer role responsibilities. Dr. James Diamond, professor of agriculture and Extension education at the Penn State University was the featured speaker. 4-H’ers who attended the training session were: Kathy Hager, Springtown, secretary of the Bucks County 4-H Teen Council; Karen Scarborough, Doylestown, newsreporter of the Bucks County 4-H Teen Council; Ryan Worthington, Doylestown, president of the Unami 4-H Club; Jackie Schmidt, Ferndale, president of the Ottsville 4-H Club; Darlene Buckman, Bedminster, vice president of the Unami 4-H Club; and Joan Comly, Ottsville, Teen Council representative. Debra Gregory, Bucks County 4- H Extension Agent, served as over all coordinator for the training day which was attended by 26 4-ITers from five nearby counties. 4-H clubs, which are open to all boys and girls, ages 8-18, teach the young people the values of the democratic process by electing club officers.
