Supervisor retires from Penn State Dairy Research Center UNIVERSITY PARK - Norman D. Walters, supervisor of Penn State’s Dairy Production Research Center, retired on March 1. Walters worked for the university for 30 years. A State College native, Walters worked on area farms for three years and his own farm for nine years before he joined the university’s Dairy Production Center in 1955. He left the university staff temporarily between 1956 and 1957 for in dustrial work, but returned to become a bam worker and young stock caretaker.
