Benzak Meats is top buyer at 4-H
NORRISTOWN Benzak meats
of Bethlehem could indeed be
called the “Home of Champions”
being the buyer of the grand and
reserve grand champion market
lambs at the Montgomery County
4-H Lamb Sale held recently at
Perkiomenville Livestock Auction.
Joseph Benzak was the top
bidder paying $5 per pound for the
grand champion owned by Jane
Landin of Lansdale. The reserve
champion was raised by Anna
Landin, Lansdale, and was pur
chased by Benzak Meats for $2.75 a
pound.

Market Lamb recently purchased for $5.00 per pound from
Jane Landin of Lansdale, a member of the Green Pastures 4-
H Sheep Club. Benzak Meats also purchased the Reserve
Champion Lamb for $2.75 a pound.

County agent Nancy Kadwill
expressed appreciation to Benzak
and all the buyers for their support
of the 4-H livestock program.
Appreciation was also extended to
the staff of the Perkiomenville
Sales Auction for conducting the
sale.
Other 4-H’ers participating in
the event were Chris and Greg
Muse of Perkasie, Mark
Schellenberger of Lansdale,
Joshua Landis of Perkiomenville
and Craig Kinsky of Lansdale.
Buyers included Renzak Meats
of Bethlehem, Hennings Market of
Harleysville, John Black of
Skippack, Scholl’s Trucking of
Perkasie and Baum’s Meats of
Lansdale.
The Green Pastures 4-H Sheep
Club invites new members ages 8-
19 to join the club to learn more
about raising sheep. Members can
raise market lambs and breeding
