Bl2—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, September 8,1984 LEESPORT Eleven members of the Delaware County 4-H Horse and Pony Club competed recently in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional 4-H Horse Show at the Berks County 4-H Center near Leesport. All qualified for this show through their winnings at the Delaware County 4-H Fair on August 18 at Rose Tree Park. They rode in a total of 45 classes, vying for top placmgs to qualify for entry to the State 4-H Horse Show at Harrisburg in early October. Lynorr Hiller, on Corkey’s Royal Jester, her 15.2 hand chestnut gelding, was the top Delaware County winner of the day. Lynorr, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hiller of Middletown Road, Edgemont Township, placed first in the Hunter Horses Under Saddle class, second in Pleasure Pairs, fourth in Senior Hunter Seat Equitation, and eighth in the Open Trail class. Patti McLaughlin of Bethel Township, rode her bay pony gelding, Teacher’s Pet, to a second place victory in the Hunter Ponies Under Saddle class. The three girls qualified for the State 4-H Horse Show with their first and seconds in their respective classes. Other Delaware County mem bers who placed during the day were Catherine Saltis of Mid dletwon Township on Sundance receiving sixth Working Hunter Horses and Shannon Dowie of Lansdowne riding Vanity Fair to an eighth Junior Hunter Seat Equitation, Patty Major, Wanda McKittrick, Melissa Newton, Dawn Whitpan, Merri Wolfe, and Rob Halligan were the remaining Delaware Count entries who competed among the nearly two hundred riders from eight coun ties.
