Out of four pigs in the show, Laura Folker, who exhibited the Grand Champion, and her younger brother, Chad, recorded three class winners, including the Heavyweight and Grand Cham pion and the Reserve Heavyweight Champion. The fourth entry took a class second. And Andy Groff, with a string of six pigs, took the Reserve Grand Championship with his Mediumweight Champion, as well as the lightweight champion. Other entries took a second and two thirds, including his pair. Also, Andy finished first in the Junior Division of the Fitting and Showing competition. So, all in all, it was a full and successful day for the Folker and Groff families. Both Laura, 12, and Chad Folker,lo, are veterans of the showing ring. This marked the highest finish for Laura, who has had a reserve champion. Chad had the Farm Show grand champion a few years back. The Folker pigs, purebred Hampshires, came from Lyle Bidner, of Mohammed, 11. The reserve champion, a Landrace-Duroc, was from Arnold. Both the champions were bought by Ezra Good, of Hatfield Packing.
