4-H members prepare for Montgomery County 4-H Fair NORRISTOWN - It’s that time of year once again! The time of year when Montgomery County 4- H members begin readying their projects for their main event, the Montgomery County 4-H Fair. The fair will be held August 16-18 at the 4-H Center. The Center is located on Snyder Road off Rt. 363 between Sumneytown Pike and Allentown Road in Lansdale. The fair has something of in terest for everyone. For animal enthusiasts there will be a Paso Fino horse demonstration, a seeing eye puppy demonstration, a pet parade open the trip. It’s also wise to find out about regulations regarding pets in the area you plan to visit, especially if you are leaving the United States. Are pets permitted at motels and camping areas where you plan to stop? If your pet is not accustomed to automobile travel, prepare it by taking it on several Sunday af ternoon rides before the vacation. Consider the pet’s comfort while traveling. It’s unfair to expect a frisky animal to stay cooped up in a too-small cage for long periods. Include exercise and relief stops in your driving schedule. The group elected Lori Tice, vice president; Niki Myers, secretary; Jennifer Arndt, secretary’s helper; and Gary Rossman, reporter. Each member received a family picture from the 4-H family dinner. The group decided to have a float for the Grange Fair. A county-wide picnic is scheduled at the Millheim Pool on July 22 at 2; 30.
