The tournament was based on a five-game series. The FFA won the first and third games while the Young Farmers took the second, fourth and fifth games to win the tournament for the fourth straight year. The fifth game decided the title with the Young Farmers winning by a score of 21-18. Also, approximately 30 members of the Cedar Crest FFA recently gathered at the Cedar Crest Middle School gym for a Fun Night of recreational activities. The banquet was concluded with the annual alumni raffle of packets of meat, wool blankets and various prizes donated by area businesses. 4-H sale features Easter hams TOWANDA Bradford County 4-H Club members are now con ducting their 1984 fund raiser which features the best of Penn sylvania farm products. Heading the list of products are the Easter Hams which are sold as 4 to 6 pound halves or 10 to 12 pound whole hams. They are boneless, shankless, wasteless, and hickory smoked. Dobrosky feels the extra curricular activities teach at titude, skill, and enthusiasm which cannot be learned in the classroom and are the tools needed to get ahead in life. He encouraged active participation in such activities during college because although the classes are important and the basis of a good education, it is the extra-curricular activities which provide “the icing to the cake”. Those attending the banquet also witnessed a changing of the guard for the club as the 1983 officers cooperation with the Pennsylvania Farmers Association Retail Farm Markets.
