    NY Cowbelles join Ag Day observance
LINDLEY, N.Y. - New York
State Cowßelles are joining in the
nationwide observance of
Agriculture Day March 20 in a
variety of ways, according to Ellen
Cisco of Lindley, Agriculture Day
chairman.
A major emphasis will be par
ticipation in the American
National Cowßelles Association
program “Beef Feeds the
Hungry”.
Cowßelles are being asked to
make individual contributions to
this program which provides the

Agriculture Day, the first day of
spring, has been observed since
1973 and has been authorized as an
official national observance since
1981. Agriculture Day is set aside
to focus attention on the 23 million
men and women in agriculture
from suppliers of goods and ser
vices through the food and fiber
chain to the retail workers. The
1984 theme is “The Food Cham/A
Human Chain.”
