The Lancaster County Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Jersey 4-H Dairy Club will hold its next meeting 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 12 at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center. The Lancaster County 4-H Guernsey Club meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 at the home of Ken Garber. Their farm is located south of Willow Street. Take 222 S. To Eshleman Mill Road. Four Paws to Freedom To be a member of a dairy club, the young people are required to own a dairy calf. To be eligible for showing, the calf needs to be registered and the member must have made application to have the calf transferred to their name by May 1,1984. Older heifers and cows must have been transferred by Kathy Waite and Gail Phillips were guest speakers at the most recent meeting of the Four Paws to Freedom 4-H Club. Members were congratulated on the puppies they raised which were recently placed in homes. Melinda Bihon’s dog, Jet, has been placed with a blind master in Tennessee. A dog raised by Laura Pauze now lives in Pennsylvania. One of the members’ puppies, Greg Forte’s, is now at the Seeing Eye Center in training. Anyone interested in raising a Seeing Eye Puppy is welcome to attend club meetings.
