r arming, Saturday, March 11 ICMtff Farm Credit gives grant NEWARK, Del. Joshua J. Willey, HI, of Milford, a University of Delaware junior majoring in plant science, has received a $5OO Delaware Farm Credit scholarship for the 1963-1984 academic year. Willey transferred to the College of Agricultural Sciences last fall from the university’s parallel program at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown. The Milford native says he is working toward a career in the wholesale nursery industry and would eventually like to produce houseplants and bedding plants. His interest in horticulture dates back to experiences as a teacher’s assistant and greenhouse manager in high school. He and his father (a machine operator at the DuPont technical laboratory in SEaford) run a part-time tree service. Having now met his basic course requirements, Willey says he is looking forward to taking classes in plant propagation and greenhouse management at the university next fall. Holly Gay Roland of Viola, last year’s junior Farm Credit winner, received a renewal of her Scholarship. She is now a senior and is also majoring in plant science.
