Hazardous waste
forum to be held
LEWISBURG Farmers and
agribusiness representatives will
want to attend a “forum” on
March 27 at the Sheraton Inn,
Danville Exit of 1-80. Both groups
as well as many others may have
hazardous wastes to dispose of and
thus have an interest in hazardous
waste management in Penn
sylvania and in the Susquehanna
Region.
The purpose of the all-day
session is to provide a forum for
positive discussion about hazar
dous waste; and an opportunity for
citizens, government officials,
business and industry represen
tatives to share their interests and
concerns and to discuss needed
cooperation and possible solutions.
Representatives from citizens’
groups, government and industry
will make up panels to present
information on what positive ac
tions are being taken in their area.
The format of the meeting will
allow all participants an op
portunity to interact and share
common concerns and ideas with
panel members.
