Brechbill, a Outfield area farmer, won the Silage Club by producing 27 tons of 70 per cent corn silage per acre, utilizing Pioneer 3334 A. Leer, a Marion area farmer, produced 139.9 bushels of dry shelled corn per acre to win the Five Acre Corn Club, he utilized DeKalb Pfizer XL6I. Lee Brown, Oxford; Horace Mower, Spring City; Richard Steele, West Chester; Harold Martin, Oxford; Leon Wilkinson, Landenberg and Harold Kulp, Pottstown, will be among those talking with Congressman in Washington on March 7-8. Mem bers of the Government Relations committee will be visiting legislators in Harrisburg on March 27. The spring membership dinner is scheduled for March 27, Denise Wilkinson, Landenberg, Women’s Committee Chairman said. Action will be taken on a possible dues increase. The Board recognized that it will be necessary to raise membership dues to cover inflationary costs. Farmers’ Association members will be polled at the spring meeting concerning any increase in dues.
