FLEMINGTON, N.J. - A senes of crop and livestock update meetings are planned to begin next week in the Hunterdon County Extension Center. The session, scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., include presentations by Rutgers’ Extension specialists in crop production, weed and insect control, livestock and dairy management. The schedule starts out with an evening on field crops on Tuesday. Subjects to be covered deal with micronutrients in the soil sulfur, manganese, boron, zinc, etc.; small gram varieties recom mended for the local area; corn hybrid test results; weed control; cahbratm and safety in applying pesticides. A second field crops program will follow on Tuesday, Feb. 14.
