When you plant an alfalfa brand from Custom Farm Seed and give it proper management, you can count on consistently high yields of quality hay, cutting after cutting, year after year. CFS alfalfas produce fine stemmed leafy plants with a high protein content and good resistance and tolerances to most diseases and pests. They exhibit excellent winter hardiness for stand persistence, and allow up to four cuttings in each growing season. For planting in this area, your CFS dealer recommends: In its area of adaptation, CFS Ml brand alfalfa can produce yields up to 91% higher than Vernal when properly managed. Compared to Magnum, CFS Ml brand will consistently show a yield advantage of 5% or more. It has resistance to bacterial wilt, fusanum wilt, pea aphid and spotted alfalfa aphid, and exhibits good resistance to phytophthora root rot, anthracnosc, and stem nematode. Semi-dormancy provides improved winter hardiness, and stand persistence is excellent with proper management. Fast recovery and excellent seedling vigor help assure maximum yields. For top-quality protein, CFS Ml brand is fine-stemmed, with a high leaf-to-stem ratio. CFS 981 Brand / d- He is the son of Floyd and Dorothy High, R 2 Ephrata.
