Mrs. Ray Sander, county president, and Mrs. Harry Hershey, county vice president, were in attendance. It was announced that the "''“"'here would sponsor Sherry Alumnus Is Advisor to 4-H Congress LEBANON Greg Allwein, Lebanon, is serving as one of four 4-H Delegate Advisors to the 1963 National 4-H Congress being held in Chicago, Nov. 27-Dec. 1. Greg, a 1982 state winner in Leadership, represents 13 Nor theast States as a 4-H member on the planning committee. His duties include introducing speakers, and hosting invited guests. Throughout the year he gave suggestions to National 4-H Council staff who carry out the event. Over 1600 4-H members will be recognized for outstanding achievement at the National Congress. One thousand dollar college scholarships will be awarded to about 200 National Winners. Greg, a son of John and Mary Allwein. is a junior at Indiana Berks Society 9 School to go to competition in Texas. Members and their husbands will go to the Oley Fire Company for their December meeting for their annual Christmas party. Rohrer in the Miss Solanco Con test. Libby Ann Steinburg gave a talk on the past 35 years of the group, featuring some nights to remember. The next meeting will be a Christmas party at Shady Maple on Dec. 8 at 6:30p.m. University of Pennsylania and a graduate of Cedar Crest. He was a 10-year member of the Norsolebco 4-H Club. In 1982, Greg was employed by the county as a summer 4-H assistant in the city of Lebanon. Other 4-H involvement included Pennsylvania Leadership Congress, where he filled the highest leadership role of Leadership Council Advisor in 1983. Greg also attended Citizenship—Washington Focus, State 4-H Days, and served as a Camp Counselor. He was president of both his club and county 4-H Teen Council. Two other Lebanon County 4- H’ers, Lori Reesor and Deb Holies, will attend this year’s Congress as state winners in Fashion Revue and Dog Care, respectively.
