Leg and leg quarters are well cleared and advanced interest remains strong on these items. Cutlets are moving fairly well overall while breasts are generally adequate but clearing satisfactory. Wings remain fully adequate. Overall slaughter is moderate. Weights are very irregular as some plants have lighter than desired weights while others are running into just the opposite. Undertone steady. Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are held unchanged on U.S. Grade A at .53-.5S cents. Estimated slaughter of broiler fryers in Delmarva (000). Cartoned egg movement is good as retail features and Ist of month business continue to generate fairly heavy orders. Advanced inquiry is fairly good but most traders note a lighter degree of promotions for next week. Buying interest for class I’s and 2’s is fairly active and some dealers note differences in getting covering for arrivals early next week. Mediums are moving into a better balance in most quarters as the demand has lessened to some degree and some are packing light weight large in medium cartons. Extra large are fully adequate and jumbos are about adequate and traders now have little if any problem in buying additional product.
