4-H Steers Win
NORRISTOWN - The annual
Montgomery County 4-H Beef
Show was held at the 4-H Center
with P.J, Kulp, Collegeville,
showing the champion animal
while the reserve champion was
won by Steve McMahon, Green
Lane.
Pnor to the selection of the
champion steer, the judge and
former 4-H livestock member Ted
Teaford had selected the following
first placmgs in each weight class:
Lightweight - Bridget Young,
Schwenksville; Medmmweighl -
Lem Fagan, Norristown; Medium
Heavyweight - P.J. Kulp,
Collegeville; and Heavyweight -
Richard Roth, Collegeville.

During the selection of 4-H
members who best fitter out their
animals P.J. Kulp was selected
first in the first year class; Tara
Bernhardt, Harleysville, in the
Junior clan and Phil McMahon,
Green Lane, in the Senior group.
P.J. Kulp won the champion fitter
ribbon, while reserve champion
was taken by Tara Bernhardt.
While the 4-H members were
parading the steers before the
judge close attention was also
given as to how they presented
their animals. Among those
selected in their age classes,
champion showman was won by
Steve McMahon. Green Lane,
while his brother Phil took reserve
champion.

IMPOSSIBLE PEANUT BUTTER
’N CHOCOLATE PIE
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
2 eggs
1 cup whipping cream
2/3 chunky peanut butter
i package (6 ounces) semisweet
chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat
all ingredients except chocolate
chips in large bowl on high speed.

fluffy, one minute (do not use
blender). Pour into ungreased pie
plate. Bake until puffed and dry in
center and knife inserted in center
comes out clean, about 35 mmtues.
Cool slightly. Heat chocolate chips
in one-quart saucepan over
low heat, stirring occasionauy,
until melted. Spread over pie.
Sprinkle with chopped peanuts if
desired. Refrigerate until
chocolate is firm, about one hour.
