Heckman gets Allan
LANCASTER - Gary S.
Heckman has been named
Director of Member Sales for
Atlantic Breeders Cooperative. In
announcing this appointment,
General Manager David Yoder
says the position responsibilities
include all sales and service
programs within Atlantic’s
membership area. The Member
Sales division includes nearly 100
personnel serving the
Cooperative’s 13,000 dairy and beef
farmer-members in Pennsylvania,
Delaware, and Maryland.

For the past two years, Heck
man served as area manager in
western New York for Eastern AI
Cooperative. In this position,, he
was responsible for recruiting,
training, and supervising member
service personnel. His earlier
experience at Eastern included on
farm technician service and
livestock supervisor at Ithaca
headquarters.
Heckman earned a bachelor of
science degree from Cornell
University, majoring in animal
science-reproductive physiology.
He also graduated from the
University of Massachusetts
Stockbridge School of Agriculture
with a major in animal laboratory
technology. His background in
cludes experience in dairy farm
work and assisting veterinarians
with animal care.
Heckman is married, has two
children, and resides at Lititz, PA.

staff. It is available by dialing 1-
800-HOT-MILK.
The hotline will serve a number
of functions, the most important of
which is to provide producers with
an open line to ADA/DC. Ac
cording to Ralph L. Lindsey, Jr.,
Executive Vice President, “We
want to hear from our dairy far
mers.” The hotline is the most
direct way of doing this.
