WANTED Paid BY LAURA ENGLAND QUARRYVILLE - Colored breed owners competed at the Solanco Fair Wednesday with Christine Ambler, Bob Kirk and Helen Arrowsmith earning the cham pionship titles. Competing in the Ayrshire class, Christine Ambler, Cochranville, paraded her 2-year-old Ambler Acres Rachael to the grand championship spot. Kris Esbenshade, Quarryville, and her heifer, Lucky Lady, received the reserve Ayrshire laurels. For the second consecutive time. Bob Kirk, Peach Bottom, was awarded grand champion Guern sey honors. His 4-year-old, Cedar Fringe Ingredanna, was named the champion. The reserve title went to an intermediate calf owned by Bob and Joyce Wagner, Quarryville. Bo Joy Tex Lisa was the winner. In the Jersey" show, dairy judge Dale Olver, Lancaster, picked a pair of winners from the Hillacres herd. Helen Arrowsmith, Peach Bottom, and Hillacres Ben Ellen were the grand champion winners. Helen’s brother Tom won the reserve title with Hillacres Sampson Belle. After class judging, which also included a combined 4-H and FFA category, junior showmanship winners were selected. Winners in the 12 and under class were Steve Wagner, Matt Bushong and Michelle Gordon. Named winners in the 33 and over class were Sarah Arrowsmith, Anita Brommer and Kris Esbenshade.
