Attendees at the convention will be able to choose from golf, tennis, swim ming, touring, shopping or simply socializing The Awards banquet is scheduled for Wednesday evening The Federation’s Broiler, Egg, and Turkey Industry-men of the Year along with the 1983 officers of the Federation will be honored at this time. There will also be en tertainment following the awards On Thursday morning, following a complimentary buffet breakfast, the commodity sessions will be held The Broiler, Egg, and Turkey industry will each have its own mini symposium throughout the morning Those attending the broiler sesson will hear a talk on new vaccines by Dr Jack Rosenberger of the University of Delaware and be given a look at marketing and packaging trends for the eighties by Blake Ixivette of Tasty bird Foods Speaking at the egg session will be Al Pope, president of the United Egg Producers, who will discuss controversial egg issues. Dr Eric Oesterle of Purdue University will speak on egg marketing trends and techniques. At the turkey sc.ssion, attendees will hear a debate on production controls by Glen Harder,"a grower from Minnesota and a speaker to be announced Billy Shepard, who originally was scheduled to par ticipate in the debate, was forced to cancel. Also, Dr John Whittaker of Whittaker Associates will talk about E. Coll.
