Those showing livestock and dairy competed in draft horse halter classes, dairy, sheep, beef, swine or poultry contests. Show grand champions and reserve champions are as follows. In the Draft Horse Halter Show, Lee Roenigk, Sarver, showed the grand champion Belgian stallion. Ron Jenny, Wexford, and his 4-year-old stallion were named the reserve winners. The Percheron champion mare was owned by John Walters, Mars. Mel and Bonnie Scheerbaum, Butler, showed the reserve mare and the champion and reserve champion geldings. Mildred and D.F. Neal, Slippery Rock, won several of the top awards in the Suffolk class, in cluding champion stallion, champion mare and reserve champion mare. In the Belgian heavy and light grade category, Glenn Mon tgomery showed the champion mare and Ron Jenny, the reserve champion mare. The gelding champion and reserve champion honors went to I.ee Roemgk. Under the Saddle Horse Halter Class, Appaloosas, Arabians, Morgans, Palammos and Quarter Horses competed in the various categories. Winning the champion Appaloosa mare contest was Cnss Slupe, Butler. The reserve mare belonged to Ann Knberney, Kams City. Arabian winners were Kathy Patterson, Slippery Rock, champion mare; Barb Waterson, Butler, champion gelding; and Barb Beggs, Butler, reserve gelding. Winning the Morgan champion stallion and mare honors was Bonnie Scheerbaum. Carol Burr, Mars, won the champion and reserve champion mare honors in the Palomino class. Lawrence Bloom, Butler, won the Quarter Horse champion stallion and mare titles. In the ponies shown at halter class, under 46 inches, Curt Hor stman, Herman, shnvrd champin’- i!iai< while James cnghton, Butler, had the reserve mare. Elmer Colteryahn, won the champion gelding title, and C.J. Atkinson, Slippery Rock, the reserve title. Ponies over 46 inches and under 58 inches competed for champion and reserve champion mare honors. Elmer Colteryahn took first and Enn Slupe, Butler, took reserve.
