Carton to egg orders ranged from fair to good and were better than expected in several quarters. Feature activity is light this week but expected to pick up over the next two weeks. Jumbos remain tight. Extra large are now noted adequate and orders are being filled satisfactorily in most instances. Grade loose large and mediums fully adequate and in creased offerings are being reported particularly on mediums from mid-west areas. Heavy class 1 are light and offerings spotty, however, lightweight class l’s, class 2's and 3’s are fully adequate and any interest is easily filled. Undertone is steady. Cutlets are well cleared. Breasts are clearing with little problem but are more available in some quarters. Legs and leg quarters are at least adequate with some discounting noted as processors want to keep stocks at minimum. Slaughter schedule heavy in most quarters. Live supplies are adequate at generally desirable weights. Undertone is steady. Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are .01 higher on U.S. Grade A at 58-62 cents.
