Baral takes top honors at Walk-Way Dairy Expo **► jiti iif LOCK HAVEN - The second annual Walk-Way Dairy Expo was blessed with beautiful weather last Saturday. The event held at the Walk-Way Dairy Training Center, expanded this year to include several new classes. Attendance was good and participation in the showing classes high. Contests just for fun were also part of the day, with competition in milk chugging, climbing a greased pole, a tug-of- war, and pie eating. Bill Baral, a freshman at Walk- Way majoring in dairy herd management, took top honors by winning the All Around Grand Champion Showman and Fitter. Doug Hershey presented Baral with a trophy on behalf of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association. Reserve Grand Champion Showman and Fitter went to Dave Grosvenor, who was last year’s All Around Grand Champion Showman and Fitter. Dan Will of Sommerset County was the Judge for the show. Sponsors included, Sire Power, Select Sires, Atlantic Breeders Co operative, Mr. and Mrs. Barr, and Farmshine.
