Locust Lane Farm Y 85 maple sugar fete next WEST CHESTER - Learn to make maple syrup at home at Chester County’s third annual Maple -Sugar Festival next Saturday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hibernia Park. This free event, sponsored by the Chester County Parks and Recreation Department, will be highlighted by informative demonstrations and exhibits on maple tree identification, collection devices, and a variety of maple sugar uses and recipes. West Chester’s Rural Rhythm String Band will provide old-time fiddle music and doggers will perform. For a modest price, a tasty pancake and sausage breakfast, featuring homemade Hibernia syrup, will be served picnic-style throughout the day.
