Bulls 1.00 higher. IN spite of declines in the dressed beef trade, live prices held on a firm note, as buyers were forced into at least minimum purchases from the light salable numbers. The character of the receipts proved consistent with recent weeks, as muddy cattle and “short feds” again constituted a large percentage of the total. Slaughter Cow prices advanced sharply, even though numbers of these kinds the largest in some time. Steers comprised 45 pet of week’s receipts: Heifers 36 pet; cows 15 pet; Feeders 3 pet.
