Linden Miss Signal 449 N, a spring yearling sired by Signal out of Miss S Hyland 449, also was named the yearling champion. The reserve champion female was exhibited by William Shoemaker of Rl Buffalo Mills in Bedford County. His entry, MCB Singletree Cathy, a summer yearling, also was named reserve yearling champion female. LD Mickee, owned by Kevin M. Long of Rl Centre Hall in Centre County was named calf champion. The new rate, down from 9 1/8 percent, reflects the interest rate charged CCC by the U.S. Treasury in January, Rank said. The interest rate on outstanding 1961 and 1962 crop commodity loans and farm facility loans disbursed since April 1,1961, was automatically adjusted to the nine percent rate, effective Jan. 1, Rank said.
