Farming, Saturday, ianaary 15,1983 Krause FARM SHOW No stranger to the show ring, Diane Krause, R 3 Slatington, showed a large case of "Farm Show fever” as she left the arena with the grand cham pionship awards in both the bull and heifer divisions of the Angus show. “Oak Power Play 280,” a 2-year old, was also the show’s senior bull champion. He was sired by PS Power Play, out of ABF Grand Eden E5B who was also the dam for her champion heifer. Oak Ridge Erica 281. This dam was a champion at Farm Show in 1981. The new champion heifer was sired by General JJ Patton, and was also named the show’s in termediate class champion. Diane, the 19-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krause, is a student in animal production at Penn State University. The reserve grand champion bull was BP Mr. Cool, a junior calf, owned by Lee Berry of Elverson in Chester County. This bull, sired by Ken Caryl Mr. Angus, out of'Nelson Katie 7076, was also named the champion junior bull calf. Berry has a herd of 25 Anugs on his Berry Patch Farm in Elverson. Lee Berry of Eiverson in Chester County exhibited the reserve grand champion and junior bull calf champion, “BP Mr. Cool," a junior calf. Barbaretta, a February, 1981 heifer, also named the junior champion, was sired by PS Power Play, out of Miss Barbaretta. The new reserve champion comes from the 49-acre farm of Erskln and Wilhelmina and was shown by their daughter, 11-year old Lori Cash. Timothy Hoffman of Gearview Rd., Dover in York County, showed the junior bull champion, TJH Power Play, a March yearling. Cecil Teets, R 1 Freedom in Beaver County, was named the premier exhibitor of the Angus show. He also received the senior bull calf and intermediate bull championships. The senior bull calf, Seldom Seen Mr. Perfect, is a senior calf, while the intermediate champion. Seldom Seen Patriot, is a summer yearling. Joseph McGlinchey, R 1 New Ringgold in Lehigh County, showed the reserve junior bull champion with CDH Power Line Oil, an early junior yearling. Hidden Lane Farm of R 2 Spring Grove in York County, showed the Diane Krause of R 3 Slatingdon in Lehigh County won the grand championship in the open Angus beef breeding bull and heifer classes.
